The Lake Barrington Field House

The Lake Barrington Field House is a 175,000 square foot state of the art indoor sports complex developed by Field House Development Group for the United Sports Organizations of Barrington, Inc., an Illinois not-for-profit corporation, qualified as tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Lake Barrington Field House is built for the benefit of the Barrington Community, its youth sports organizations, and the general population. Managed by Field House Management Corporation, the Lake Barrington Field House will offer sports facilities for many of the Barrington area youth sports groups, as well provide programs for young children, young families, adults, and senior citizens. The sports facilities at the Lake Barrington Field House include: A single artificial turf playing surface (approximately 95,000 sq ft) (the “Turf Field”), that will accommodate a full size soccer field (110 yards x 75 yards), two baseball/softball diamonds, a full size football field (120 yards x 65 yards), or a full size lacrosse field. The Turf Field can be divided in half or divided into thirds by curtains depending on the tenant need. The Turf Field is enclosed under a 40 foot clear height roof. The Courts will have approximately 40,000 sq ft of hardwood court surface for the accommodation of four basketball courts or eight volleyball courts. The Courts have a 30 foot clear height roof. Other elements of the Lake Barrington Field House include: approximately 10,000 sq ft for strength training and athlete conditioning, in-house athletic trainer services, and sports injury rehabilitation services (the “Strength Training and Rehab Area”); an indoor running/walking track surrounding the Turf Field; approximately 10 meeting and party rooms; concession areas for food service; a lounge (no alcohol permitted); office space for building staff and sport group tenants; and spectator seating for approximately 100 per basketball court, 50 per volleyball court, and roughly 2,000 for the Turf Field. The Lake Barrington Field House is expected to have 344 parking spaces adjacent to the building and 928 total parking places available in the development.

The Lake Barrington Field House will provide a high quality facility that serves the expanding athletic needs of the Barrington area youth and adult sport programs that is located in the Barrington community to eliminate the present need for lengthy travel to obtain needed athletic training and competition. In addition, the Lake Barrington Field House will serve the growing demand for recreational athletic venues for the Barrington community as a whole.
